then itry a few times HM farming.
too my surprise it doesnt work.
i really dont know what i want to do in guild wars.
i was thinking of just pvping for z-keys... but even that gets frustrating.
soo heres my question.
what did YOU do when you found yourself stuck in my position, If you ever were.

Let me understand this! Your basically admitting that all you do when you play this game is Farm because you just want gold, and then buy stuff and "attempt" then odd hard mode.
And you've been playing for 5 months and now your saying your bored! Heres an idea... how about actually playing the game for the actual storylines? You must have completed atleast one campaign to be doing HM though.
But you dont give the impression that your playing this game for anything more then to make gold and to be rich and own stuff! Maybe thats your problem. There is a lot more to the game then just being rich and owning armor and farming.
Have you played all 3 campaigns?
Have you played GWEN?
Have you got all your skills, normal and elite?
Have you done all quests?
Have you done all missions?
Have you explored all campaigns and GWEN for 100%?
Have you tried all professions?
Have you played any pvp, whether it be 4v4 or Alliance battles?
Etc, etc, etc, etc....
I somehow doubt you have done all that in 5 months of play! I've played for a lot longer and even I havent done EVERYTHING there is to do on one character alone.
I still have the odd few quests and some dungeons to play and I don't have every armor set ingame and I havent even set foot in elite zones!
And you're bored after 5 months!!!
Plus why did you farm minatours just to buy armor? You can earn enough gold to buy armor by just completing one campaign and selling everything to the merchant!
Sorry if it sounds like im flaming, but it doesnt sound like you have really given the game a chance to be sitting saying your bored!

All you want is the money huh. Is that so you can buy a big mansion somewhere on the outskirts of Lion's Arch and look down upon all the poor people who should worship your pots of money?
In other words...why the hell do you need so much money it's all you're willing to do in a game that offers a LOT more than farming to do? What do you plan on doing with all that money? Seriously...I don't understand it.
I mean, I farm for gold...when I need money for cap sigs to skill cap, or when I see armor I might fancy trying out, or if there's a partcular weapon I think would look cool with the armor I have. I don't need pots and pots of loot, or bags and bags of 'rare' weapons. Who the hell does? ^^ What advantage does that give you really? None.
Try actually playing the game, you might enjoy it

Well, my hubby to be and I are trying a fun experiment. We've been playing all campaigns since just after proph. release and have all 3 + GWEN. We both have alt accountS though, (from before extra char slots, storage etc) that are proph only. We have made 2 new chars and are taking them through proph, giving NO gold, mats weapons etc from our main accounts, in other words no help at all from their wealthy families. They have to get by with the cash they earn, the armor they can buy/collectors etc, the skills they can get from quests the whole deal. It's rather fun actually These accounts don't have any access to other continents, so no max armor, no heroes. They can't afford Drok's runs anyway, but we decided to play through, no runs no anything. Should be fun

Like all the other people said, take a break or play a different game. I haven't played gw in a week because i've been playing Team Fortress 2 and working on achievements in there.

Well, most MMOs aren't really meant to be played constantly, you know? Most people play for 6 months or so, put it up for about an equal amount of time, then pick it up much later. If you're done for now, you're done. Put it up. Do something else until you feel that urge to play again. But I have to say, if you seriously bought like one set of max armor, a few "perfect" greens, and steamrolled the plots in the quickest time possible, you really missed out on some of the best things in the game.
Also, *BATTERY. Normally I'm not so anal about these things, especially on a game forum, but this thread gets bumped constantly and it's driving me insane. XD

Do Not Touch. Buried Treasure. It got me what I wanted and it's been a good 4 months since I've ever used them again. Or even bothered with the game.
We need a new class or something.

lets see....I spent 3 weeks out of the country traveling that helped me get a nice break. Otherwise I spend a lot of time here
I have set goals for what I want to get for each of my characters, then I set time frames for them to try to complete them by (some are harder to accomplish than others----still cant get a good pug for grand court so I can finish that title off...and my guild is a family one, cant really leave it). Some of my goals are monetary others are title related, while others are just 'lets just finish this dang chapter' types of things.
If I want a real break my hubby and I do underworld trapping with our heroes or today we did most of FOW with them, that was a change-----

If - unless you're an internet virtual-gold selller - farming and plats is the main reason you play, most likely you'll get bored fast.
I play PVP for the rush and competition. I play PVE to test my mettle in patience, determination, and to reach a goal which I set out to do. I farm too just to buy things for my PVE needs, wants, and vanities.
When the grind is getting to me, PVP or PVE, I just read Guru forums to have some laughs. Or take some days off on GW.
We have enough drag in real life and make games like GW add to the drag. If you're having fun, play. If not, take a break or move on.
My take.

this game isnt interesting anymore im just gonna finish the few missions left and probably play lotro until guild wars 2 comes out.
if you get really bored of gw i assure you DO NOT stay on looking for something to do you will die of boredom and repeated stress.
instead find another mmorpg and wait for guild wars 2 release.
most games are addicting but gw is actually anti-addicting if you play to much you will get really bored and have to take like a 6 month break.

btw i think im gonna delete gw from my comp for a little why to test drive lotro and some other games.
sorry anet but you failed in content a games playerbase will not survive because all you do is farm farm farm drops drops drops and really their is no purpose you go farm better armor so you can farm more armor but without dieing.
rs actually has the right idea in content but that game is worse than pacman.
unless gw2 has a dynamic and unique crafting system or anything to do besides killing i probably wont buy because i will just be doing the same farm farm farm but i get to jump and swim (gasp)
